Door-to-Door Canvassing Apps Compared (2026): Knockio, SalesRabbit, Spotio & More

Short answer: For a water treatment or home-service dealer running its own door-knocking team, the dedicated canvassing apps (Knockio, SalesRabbit, Spotio, Knockbase) all cover the core work: territory maps, routes, and logging each door. They differ mainly in pricing transparency, how much homeowner data they sell as an add-on, and how they connect to your CRM. Jobber is a field-service platform, not a canvassing app. Zoho CRM with RouteIQ is an option if you already run on Zoho. Some apps sell homeowner data, and Knockio offers a paid add-on that can surface contact info including phone numbers. Even so, the most reliable number is the one the homeowner gives your canvasser at the door, with consent.

What a water treatment dealer actually needs from a canvassing app
Before comparing brands, it helps to be specific. For an in-home water test business, the app has to do five things well:
1. Territory mapping. Draw areas on a map and assign them to reps. 2. Route planning. Give each rep an efficient path through their area. 3. Door logging. Record each door's outcome fast, such as not home, not interested, call back, or appointment set. 4. Lead capture. Collect the homeowner's name, phone, preferred language, and best appointment time when they say yes. 5. Handoff. Get that lead into the system where appointments are confirmed and followed up, usually a CRM.
Homeowner data, digital contracts, and leaderboards are nice to have. Most dealerships live or die on the five above.

Knockio
What it is: A door-to-door sales app that has grown into a field CRM, with territories, route planning and optimization, real-time rep tracking, presentations, digital contracts, an automation builder, and appointment scheduling. Higher tiers add pipelines, estimates, invoices, and inventory.
Pricing (vendor page, as of October 2026):
- Prospect: $20/user/month (5+ users) or $25/user/month (1–4 users).
- Organize, field service: $30/$35.
- Growth: $45/$60.
- Scale: custom.
Knockio advertises no contracts and no setup fees. Add-ons include "pre-knocked data" at $0.15 per address and "Engage" business phone numbers at $15 per number per month. Engage numbers are for your team's own calling and texting. Separately, Knockio offers a paid data add-on that can surface homeowner contact info, including phone numbers. Ask Knockio for current pricing.
CRM connections: Knockio lists Salesforce, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365, plus Zapier, FlowChef, and an API. Zoho isn't named on its integrations page, but Zapier can connect it to Zoho CRM.
Best fit: Small and mid-size dealers who want transparent per-user pricing and an app that can grow into a lightweight CRM.
SalesRabbit
What it is: One of the best-known door-to-door canvassing apps, with territory management, lead tracking, and route tools. It also offers a free limited "Lite" version.
Pricing (vendor page, as of October 2026): Team $59/user/month (billed monthly). For Pro, see vendor site for current pricing; the page presents annual billing as the best value. Enterprise is custom. RoofLink Pro, the company's roofing CRM, is $120/user/month.
Terms to know from the vendor FAQ:
- Contracts run one to three years.
- Seats are billed on peak concurrent users.
- Implementation packages are required and priced separately.
- There's no free trial of paid plans.
Homeowner data: DataGrid AI is an add-on, at $19/user/month annual or $31 monthly per the pricing page, that adds homeowner information on the map. Separate add-ons on Pro include Mover Leads, Digital Contracts, and Weather.
CRM connections: "API & Integrations" on Pro and Enterprise. Custom integration requests are available on Enterprise.
Best fit: Established teams that want a mature canvassing app and homeowner data in one place, and are comfortable with a contract.
Spotio
What it is: A field sales platform covering territory management, lead tracking, route optimization, and activity reporting. It offers B2B, B2C, and Custom plans, and an Engagement bundle with built-in calling, texting, and automated follow-up.
Pricing: Spotio's pricing page doesn't publish prices. It says pricing is per user and quote-based, and that it's aimed at teams of five or more field reps. There is no free trial, though pilots are available for qualified prospects.
Homeowner data: Not listed on the pricing page. Ask Spotio directly.
CRM connections: Spotio advertises CRM integrations including Salesforce and HubSpot, plus Google and Outlook calendars.
Best fit: Larger or multi-office sales organizations that want field sales management with enterprise CRM integration and are fine with a sales-led buying process.
Knockbase
What it is: A door-to-door canvassing app from Sunbase. Its App Store listing says it requires a Sunbase account.
Pricing and features: We couldn't confirm current pricing or a feature list on the vendor's own site when we checked, so see vendor site for current pricing, and ask Sunbase for a current plan sheet covering territories, routing, homeowner data, and CRM integrations.
Best fit: Teams already using Sunbase software. Otherwise, request a demo and compare it directly against the apps above.
Jobber: a field-service platform, not a canvassing app
Jobber comes up often in these searches because many home-service companies already use it. It's built to run the work after the sale: quotes, scheduling, dispatching, routing technicians, invoicing, and payments. It also captures inbound leads through online request forms, online booking, and an AI receptionist.
What Jobber doesn't present itself as is a door-knocking tool. Its pricing page doesn't mention canvassing territories or door-by-door logging.
Pricing (vendor page, as of October 2026): Core (1 user) is $29/month billed annually after an introductory period, or $39–$49 monthly depending on commitment. Connect, Grow, and Plus plans scale by team size. Extra users cost $29/month each.
Best fit: Use it to run installs and service. Pair it with a canvassing app, or a disciplined CRM, for the door-knocking side.
Zoho CRM with RouteIQ
What it is: RouteIQ for Zoho CRM is Zoho's field-sales mapping and route-planning add-on. It shows CRM records on a map, builds and optimizes routes, finds nearby prospects to fill a cancelled slot, and has a mobile app. The mobile app requires a paid Zoho CRM user. Reps can log outcomes in the Zoho CRM mobile app.
Pricing: Zoho's help center says RouteIQ comes in two plans, Standard and Professional, billed monthly or yearly with a 15-day free trial. We didn't find the dollar amount on Zoho's own page, so see vendor site for current pricing. Zoho CRM itself is priced separately; see vendor site for current pricing there too.
Best fit: Dealers who already run on Zoho CRM and want maps and routes without adding another app. It's built for planned field visits, so it isn't as door-by-door as a dedicated canvassing app.
LandGlide: parcel and owner mapping for territory planning
What it is: LandGlide is a parcel-mapping app. It shows property lines and parcel records, including owner names, mailing and site addresses, and sale history, and lets you save, annotate, and export properties.
How GSD uses it: LandGlide is the mapping tool GSD uses to plan territories for dealers. Seeing parcels and owners street by street makes it easier to draw territories a team can cover completely and to dominate one market before moving to the next. The same map then becomes a cross-sales plan, for example softener customers who may want a drinking-water or RO system, a service plan, or another home service the dealer offers.
What it isn't: LandGlide is not a canvassing app. It doesn't log door outcomes, track reps, or hand leads to a CRM, so it works alongside a canvassing app or CRM, not instead of one. The listings we reviewed describe owner names and parcel details, not phone numbers.
Pricing: See vendor site for current pricing. Check its terms of use before exporting owner data for marketing.
How do canvassing apps get homeowner phone numbers?
This is one of the most common questions, and the honest answer is that they mostly don't hand you phone numbers out of the box. Here are the three ways numbers usually get into the system.
1. The homeowner gives it to you at the door. This is the most reliable number, and it comes with context. Your canvasser can ask, "What's the best number to confirm your appointment, and is texting OK?" That doubles as documented consent to contact.
2. Homeowner data add-ons. Some apps sell property and homeowner data layered onto the map. Knockio offers a paid data add-on that can surface homeowner contact info, including phone numbers. SalesRabbit's DataGrid AI adds homeowner information on the map. What fields are included varies by vendor and plan. Having a number in the app is not the same as having permission to text it. Ask each vendor in writing whether phone numbers are included, where the data comes from, and whether it's scrubbed against the Do Not Call registry.
3. Skip tracing and data append services. These are separate vendors, often built for real estate investors, that match an owner name and address to possible phone numbers and emails. Some flag numbers on the Do Not Call list. Match quality varies, and the numbers come with no consent.
A compliance note: Calling or texting a cell phone number for marketing, especially with automated tools, has strict consent requirements under federal law (the TCPA) and many state laws. A number you bought or appended is not the same as a number the homeowner gave you with permission to text. Get consent before texting — numbers from data providers still require consent under the TCPA. When in doubt, get the number and consent at the door.
Which one fits your dealership?
- Small dealer, 2–10 knockers, wants simple and transparent pricing: look at Knockio first, and compare SalesRabbit's Team plan.
- Established team that wants homeowner data inside the app: SalesRabbit with DataGrid AI. Compare Knockio's pre-knocked data.
- Larger, multi-office sales org with Salesforce or HubSpot: get a Spotio quote and compare.
- Already on Sunbase: evaluate Knockbase.
- Already on Jobber: keep Jobber for installs and service, and add a canvassing app for the doors.
- Already on Zoho CRM: try RouteIQ before adding another app.
- Want to plan territories by parcel and owner: LandGlide, which is what GSD uses, alongside a canvassing app, not instead of one.
Where GSD 500 BPO fits
Whichever app your team uses, the app ends where the knock ends. GSD works on top of your tools:
- Territory mapping in LandGlide, so your team can work a market completely, then turning that map into cross-sales lists.
- Route and logging setup in Knockio, Jobber, or Zoho CRM with RouteIQ, using your own door-knocking team. We don't supply canvassers.
- Standard door-outcome logging so every rep records doors the same way.
- Handoff to Zoho CRM, directly or through Zapier or an API.
- Bilingual setters in English and Spanish who confirm every appointment set at the door.
- AI follow-up: instant SMS confirmation, reminders, rescheduling, and WhatsApp/SMS nurture in Spanish for "not today" homeowners.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best door-to-door canvassing app for water treatment dealers?
There's no single best app. For most small and mid-size dealers, the decision comes down to price transparency, contract terms, homeowner data needs, and which CRM you use. Shortlist two apps, run a two-week pilot with your own reps, and compare held appointments, not just doors logged.
Is Jobber a canvassing app?
No. Jobber is field-service management software for quoting, scheduling, routing jobs, invoicing, and payments. It captures inbound requests, but it isn't built for door-by-door territory canvassing.
Do canvassing apps include homeowner phone numbers?
Not in base plans. Some offer paid data add-ons; Knockio's paid data add-on can surface homeowner contact info, including phone numbers. Ask each vendor how the data is sourced and whether it's scrubbed against Do Not Call. Texting those numbers without consent carries TCPA risk. The most reliable number, with consent, is the one the homeowner gives you at the door.
Is skip tracing legal for door-to-door follow-up?
Looking up public records is generally legal, but calling or texting those numbers for marketing triggers consent and Do Not Call rules. Get legal advice before texting appended or skip-traced numbers.
Can Knockio or SalesRabbit connect to Zoho CRM?
Neither vendor names Zoho on the pages we reviewed. Knockio supports Zapier, FlowChef, and an API, and SalesRabbit lists API and integrations on Pro and Enterprise, so a connection is usually possible. Confirm the details with the vendor.
Does Zoho have a canvassing feature?
Zoho's field-sales option is RouteIQ for Zoho CRM, which handles mapping, route planning, and nearby prospects, together with the Zoho CRM mobile app. It's designed for field visits rather than door-by-door canvassing, but it works for many dealers already on Zoho.
